The 2021 proposed budget includes no tax increase (actually a small tax cut), no salary increases for elected officials. Town Board has till December 20th to approve a final budget
The Greenburgh Town Board will hold our first public hearing on the 2021 tentative town budget on Tuesday, November 24th after 7:30 PM. Our meetings are held remotely by zoom. If you would like to speak at our Board hearing from the comforts of your home please e mail townboard@greenburghny.com and we will send you the invitation to participate at the public hearing.
The 2021 budget does not include any tax hike --actually there is a slight tax reduction. This is the 2nd consecutive year with no tax increases in the town budget. There are no salary hikes for elected officials included in the budget. By law the Town Board must approve a budget no later than December 20th. Between now and the 20th the Board has the ability make modifications to the budget. The hearing will not be closed at the end of the meeting - so there will be other opportunities to speak on the budget before the final budget is approved.
