Most residents will have power back on by Sunday. Asking Con Ed to open up dry ice location in Greenburgh. Trying to help those who don't have internet or cable access
Con Ed has advised that almost everyone will have power restored on or before Sunday. Will continue to press Con Ed to restore power for Greenburgh residents sooner, rather than later.
If you are out of power make sure you report outages to Con Ed. The link below could be useful. We’re encouraging Con Ed to have a dry ice location in Greenburgh or close by (right now they only have two--closest one at the Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers- 8000 Mall Walk until 9 PM). I have a conference call with Con Ed tomorrow at 11 and will provide residents with updates. I hope that all of us will have air conditioning soon and will have power restored. Also reaching out to internet providers - Optimum and Fios and hope that those without service will soon have internet and cable service as well.
Sorry for the aggravation. Want to remind residents that those who have medical needs should contact the police at 989-1700. Have received some calls/emails from those who are nervous because they take insulin or are on respirators. If your power is not on and if you need the help of the Greenburgh EMS unit, please don’t be shy! We want to help. Feel free to call me on my cell: 438-1343 (office) or home: 478-1219 with any questions or concerns.
