Town of Greenburgh Tennis Courts (and Platform/Pickleball courts) Update
The Town of Greenburgh Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that tennis courts throughout our park system are reopening.
On Saturday May 16, the following tennis courts will be open with restrictions to the public from 8am to sunset. They are:
East Rumbrook Park, Massaro Park, Travis Hill Park and Yosemite Park. Effective immediately only singles play will be allowed. No congregating or socializing on or near the courts before or after play. Non-tennis activities on tennis courts are prohibited. Restrooms in these parks will remain closed. Rules will be strictly enforced. The platform/pickleball courts require a valid membership.
All park users are expected a minimum of 6 feet social distancing and wear mask when appropriate.
US Tennis Association (USTA) Recommends The Following Guidelines:
DO NOT switch sides during play.
Each player should bring their own tennis balls.
Consider numbering/marking and picking up your ball only.
Avoid using your hands to pick up tennis balls when possible.
DO NOT share racquets or personal equipment.
While on the court practice Social Distancing when taking breaks.
NO handshakes, high-fives, fist/elbow bumps. Avoid physical contact.
On Saturday May 23, nine of the nineteen tennis courts will be open at Anthony F. Veteran Park for permit holders, resident unicard holders (pay a daily fee) and their paid guests. Tennis play will be available from 8am to 8pm and follow the same above rules and guidelines.
