With concerns of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we ask residents to keep in mind our Sanitation workers, who are still out collecting refuse each day. Please be reminded of the below regulations for collection. These regulations are always in place to keep our Sanitation workers safe and allow them to work efficiently.
As of now, sanitation collection is operating on a normal schedule. Any changes to this will be posted on the Town website.
· Garbage must be placed in the Town issued garbage cart and left at the curb before 7:00 am on your designated pickup day. Garbage should be in bags, there should not be any loose items in your garbage cart. If you feel your current garbage cart does not meet your needs, please call (914) 989-1580 and we will arrange to get you a larger cart. Bulk pickups can be scheduled for larger items that do not fit into your Town issued cart, such as furniture or carpet pieces, by calling (914) 989-1580.
· Paper & cardboard recycling MUST be broken down, contained and left at the curb before 7:00 am on your designated pickup day. You may place paper and cardboard into an open, reusable container (NOT the Town issued garbage or recycling carts) or into a cardboard box. Material in plastic bags will NOT be accepted.
· Commingled recycling must be placed in the Town issued commingled cart and left at the curb before 7:00 am on Wednesdays. Items should be loosely placed in the bin without plastic bags.
