Last year United States Congresswoman Nita Lowey announced her plans to retire at the end of 2020. Congresswoman Lowey’s district includes most of Greenburgh. Other sections of the district include Rockland County, portions of central and northwestern Westchester. Hastings, Ardsley and Edgemont are in the district currently represented by Congressman Eliot Engel. A number of Democratic candidates are seeking the Democratic nomination. There is a forum at Mercy College today. If more than one Republican seeks the Republican nomination and if they hold a similar forum I will share that information on the town website as well.
