[ARCHIVED] Veterans day ceremony Monday at 2 PM

living history stories to be broadcast non stop on public access TV this weekend...Thanksgiving pie sale

Our annual Veterans day ceremony is scheduled to take place on 11/11/2019 (Monday) at 2 PM at the DeSanti Plaza Veterans Memorial –across from the Hartsdale train station. The ceremony will last about 35-40 minutes. Please honor our veterans by attending this important ceremony.

Greenburgh is proud of our Living History initiative. About 150 veterans, most who served during World War II and the Korean conflict, have been interviewed –each for about half an hour. During every Veterans day and Memorial day weekend we broadcast each of the interviews on public access TV: channel 76 for Altice customers and 35 for Fios. The living history interviews will be broadcast from midnight tonight to Tuesday morning. If you prefer—you can watch the video’s by clicking on to the link below:

It's that time of year!

Time for the annual AHS Select Chorus Thanksgiving Pie Sale!!


In the season of gratitude, celebrate by donating a pie.

It's easy to donate a pie to any of the chorus' four charity partners in Westchester county.

You may donate more than one! The cost to donate is $20 for each pie.

Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center. Their vision statement is: Pursuing leadership and excellence by advancing innovative, loving care with transformational outcomes to medically complex children and their families. Lifting Up Westchester. 'For almost four decades, Lifting Up Westchester has worked to permanently change the lives of our neighbors in crisis by helping them to find stable, long-term, housing and providing the support they need to rebuild their lives.' Lifting up Westchester asked Select to deliver their pies at New Year's and our baker agreed to make that special delivery too. https://www.liftingupwestchester.org


And Select Chorus continues to partner with

Rockland Psychiatric Center. Mission: Hope, Respect, and Recovery for People with Mental Illness. Rockland Psychiatric Center is a NY State center provides treatment, rehabilitation, and support to adults 18 and older with serious mental illness. Westhab's Coachman Family Center helps families transition from homelessness.

Select is performing again at the Congregation Kol Ami Thanksgiving Dinner Service for Coachman families on the Saturday evening before Thanksgiving. Select's baker agreed to deliver the pies donated to Coachman families to the synagogue so families can each receive a pie as they return to Coachman after the dinner service.
