Susan Seal and Danield Weinfeld wrote a fascinating article about slavery in our area on the Friends of the Odell Rochambeau website. The link to this article can be found below. When the Odell House on Ridge Road is renovated and turned into a museum visitors will be able to learn more about our local history - the good and bad. On Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM Daniel Weinfeld will present a short discussion: Civil War Military Service by African American Men from Greenburgh at the beginning of the Town Board meeting. As part of the Black History month celebrations Esther McCarthy will also discuss Alzheimer's and African Americans. Town resident Alice Joyce Simpkins will read a poetic tribute.
