[ARCHIVED] Internationally known classical/rock violinist to perform in Tarrytown Sunday
Enjoy some fun events taking place in our area this holiday season
A holiday treat--
Anna Maria Volpacchio recently moved back to Tarrytown after 20 years working in the United States Embassy in Rome. During her tenure with the Embassy Anna Maria managed the Embassy's art gallery -helping struggling artists from all over the world. Her aging parents now need her so she is back in America.
SUNDAY CONCERT IN TARRYTOWN 7 PM TO 9 PM CHURCH OF THE TRANSFIGURATION 268 S BROADWAY, TARRYTOWN (Dec 11)
This Sunday Anna Maria is organizing a concert featuring Daisy Jopling, an internationally known classical/rock violinist who tours the world with her own band. She runs a music mentorship foundation. She plays an Antonio Gragnani violin made in Livorno, Italy in 1778 and a Yamaha electric violin. She has performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, at Lincoln Center, at Carnegie Hall and at the Edinburgh International Festival in Scotland.
She started a free music program for children in Peekskill called Ovation Music Project and has been mentoring students who have a passion for music.
