#VaxUpWestchester Efforts Continue to Get Anyone Eligible Vaccinated
GREENBURGH, NY__ The Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps will be stationed at tables in the TaSH Community Farmers Market at Patriots Park, North Broadway, Tarrytown, this Saturday, July 10 from 9 am to 1:30 pm with Moderna, Pfizer, and J&J shots at the ready. Volunteers from the #VaxUpWestchester initiative will be on hand with informational flyers and to address any vaccination questions you may have. No appointments needed.
The OVAC/#VUW partnership is just one of many efforts being supported by the Town of Greenburgh to address vaccine hesitancy and access in our community and beyond. Since April, #VaxUpWestchester volunteers have hosted or supported 24 popups supplying information, appointments and/or direct vaccinations throughout lower Westchester, and have to date gotten hundreds of citizens vaccinated, and engaged thousands.
#VUW is funded in full by grants from UJA-Federation of New York and the Westchester Community Foundation - A Division of New York Community Trust.
