Many communities that traditionally schedule a fireworks display on July 4th won't have fireworks this year.
Many communities in Westchester that traditionally schedule fireworks are cancelling them this July 4th. For example - Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla, won't be having a fire works event. Caramoor has also cancelled fireworks displays. Playland will hold their fireworks on Fridays beginning July 9th and continuing thru the season. The irvingtonny.gov website indicated that "due to construction in Matthiessen Park there will be no fireworks this July 4th."
