Elmwood Preserve Update work session discussion Tuesday at 6 PM
The Elmwood redevelopment proposal for the former golf club on Dobbs Ferry Road has been the subject of an Environmental Impact Statement. Process-wise, the Applicant’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) was the subject of numerous comments from residents, the Town Board, and other Involved and Interested Agencies. Responses to the questions raised as part of the DEIS comprise the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS). Prior to the submission of a Final Environmental Impact Statement to the Town for review, the Applicant will be providing an update to the Town Board at this Tuesday’s work session at 6:00pm (May 25th). The Applicant seeks to update the Board on several important aspects of the development (constituting a new alternative) including tax structure of the proposal, proposed roadway ingress/egress with Dobbs Ferry Road (particularly in the vicinity of Westchester View Lane), the age restricted aspect of the proposal, etc. This interim update to the Town Board has been set up to inform all interested in the proposal of several areas where the applicant seeks to be responsive to comments received, in advance of the submission of a FEIS.
The work session is not a public comment or public hearing meeting, however, residents interested in the proposal are encouraged to view the meeting. The meeting can be viewed live on the Town Website, www.GreenburghNY.com, as well as viewed archived, generally within 24 hours. The meeting can also be viewed live on the Town’s government cable channels, Cablevision/Altice Channel 76 and Verizon FiOS Channel 35.
