The Patrol Division is the fundamental element of the police department. It is responsible for all general police services throughout the 17 square miles of the unincorporated area of Greenburgh. This area includes 142 miles of roadway.
This is a voluntary post organized under the Boy Scouts of America Explorer Program and sponsored by the Greenburgh Police Department.
The Records Unit is responsible for the data entry of police reports, administration and billing of alarm permits, impounded vehicle files, licensing, public access to records, processing of criminal rap sheets and federal/state crime statistical reporting. The unit is staffed by one Sergeant and five civilian clerical personnel.
