Senior Activities
The Greenburgh Parks and Recreation Department operates the following senior services and sites: programs and specials at the Multipurpose Center at Anthony F. Veteran Park, Greenburgh Nutrition Program, Home Delivered Meals Program, and senior transportation.
All programs are administered by Lynda Maranino, Nutrition Program Director and Andrea Jacoby, Recreation Supervisor.
Seniors 60 and over, homebound by reason of illness, incapacitating disability, or otherwise isolated, are eligible to participate. A hot lunch is delivered each day and the suggested contribution is $4 per day.

Transportation is available to Unincorporated Greenburgh Seniors for:
- Daily activities and classes
- Doctors Appointments on Monday mornings (limited service 9 to 11 a.m.)
- Grocery shopping on Tuesday and Friday

The Greenburgh Nutrition Program and Transportation Program are state and federally funded through the Westchester County Office for the Aging. It provides a hot, well-balanced meal Monday through Friday at each of the sites listed.
The program also provides information, help with problems, recreation and leisure activities. Residents, who have reached 60 years of age are eligible. A suggested contribution of $4 is asked, however, no one is denied a meal because of inability to pay. Contributions are private and placed in a box away from the registration desk. Guest fee, under 60 years is $7.
Transportation is provided, if necessary, by calling the Nutrition site.

Annual Greenburgh Senior Picnic
Anthony F. Veteran Park will host, the Annual Greenburgh Senior Picnic on Wednesday, June 5th, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The picnic, sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department and the Greenburgh Nutrition Program, is open to all Town of Greenburgh Seniors including those who reside in the villages.
Lunches are provided by the Nutrition Program ($6 suggested contribution). Reservation required. For reservations call Priscilla Murphy at 989-1822 or email PJ Murphy. For transportation call Lynda Maranino at 989-1807.
Multipurpose Center
This facility is a popular social gathering place for senior citizens. The 8,000 square feet, fully accessible facility features an aerobic/dance room, resource center, lounge and activity rooms. The Center is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday for senior activities. Fees for most classes offered at the Center are $35.
