DIVISION OF PLANNING
Town staff provides professional planning services to the Town Board and the Town Planning Board, assistance to the Town Planning Board and Town Board applicants and the public, perform land use studies and review ordinances, pursuant to Chapters 250 and 285 of the Town Code and any other applicable laws and ordinances.
Development applications are reviewed by either Town Board or Planning Board, depending on the size of the property of the project and the type of development that is seeking approval. In some cases, the Town board may refer the action to the Planning Board for further review.
Planning Board members are appointed by the Town Board for a seven (7) year term. The term of office for each member is staggered so that no more than one person is reappointed to a full term during a calendar year.

Planning Board Meeting and Agendas
The Town of Greenburgh Planning Board meets every two weeks. All meetings are subject to change due to holidays, weather, etc.
The Planning Board schedules all future work session and public hearing dates for an application at their meetings. If you have any questions as to when an application is scheduled, please call (914) 989-1538.
Planning Board Submissions
If you would like to submit an item to the Planning Board, all submissions, both required and requested materials and written comments to the Planning Board must be made seven (7) days in advance of the meeting date. Any document received after the cutoff date is given to the Planning Board at the next following meeting.
