The Honorable Paul Feiner

Supervisor, Town of Greenburgh

177 Hillside Avenue

Greenburgh, NY 10607

Dear Supervisor Feiner:

Thank you for your letter of January 30, 2018 concerning slippery conditions at Hartsdale following the recent snowfall. Acting President Catherine Rinaldi has asked me to respond on her behalf.

As we stated in our January 29th response to your previous letter, we apologize for the icy conditions at the station and have taken steps to ensure that our forces will be at the station

earlier during future weather events. They have been instructed to pay specific attention to the areas where our customers experienced slippery conditions.

We also thank you for your offer to allow Metro-North to contract with the town to salt the station. However, the station is a railroad property and will continued to be maintained by railroad forces.

We thank you for your continued interest in this matter. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact my office at 212-340-3056.

Sincerely,                                                   ·
