A valentine's day pet adoption initiative...POSH PETS RESCUE CATS
Release Date: February 14, 2017

> WEEKEND IN VALENTINE’S DAY THEMED EVENT Greenburgh, NY – This Valentine’s day you can not only spread love, but also save a life. PetSmart Charities, along with Posh Pets Rescue, will host their National Adoption Weekend at PetSmart in Greenburg from February 17h to 19th in a Valentine’s Day-themed event in order to pair patrons with their perfect rescued cat.
> Many of Posh Pet Rescue’s cats are rescued from being euthanized at high-kill shelters in New York City along with other life-threatening circumstances by the organization’s volunteers.
> During 2016’s National Adoption Weekend over 100,000 animals were adopted across North America. PetSmart Charities has found homes for over 7,800,000 animals in need.
> “For this year’s National Adoption Weekend we hope to spread the love on Valentine’s Day by pairing people with their perfect cat,” Posh Pets Rescue Cat Director Vanessa Vaccaro said. “By adopting a cat you’re actually saving multiple lives. Not only are you saving the life of a rescued animal, but you’re opening up space so the organization can take in more cats in need of help, so they have a shot at finding a forever home.”
> The cats have been fully vetted by the organization’s volunteers who bring the cats to veterinary, spay and neuter appointments, in order to ensure they are healthy before adoption.
> During the event a number of rescued cats of all ages will be up for adoption, those interested in finding their Valentine will have to fill out an application to see if they qualify to take them home. Potential adopters can be pre-screened by filling out an online application at http://poshpetsrescue.org/applications/.
