Town remembers victims of Holocaust on channel 76 today & Thursday (Yom Hashoah is Thursday)

Holocaust Remembrance day is Thursday. Six mlllion Jews lost their lives during the Holocaust. The town will air interviews with holocaust survivors (including local Greenburgh survivors) all day today until midnight Sunday. We will also air the interviews after midnight beginning Wednesday night until the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting on Thursday evening. The interviews will play on cablevision channel 76 and FIOS channel 35 both evenings.  http://www.hhrecny.org/ is the website of the Holocaust & Human Rights Center of Westchester. Their mission: to educate residents of our community about the horrors of the holocaust. Hopefully, we won't repeat the lessons of the past. I have been working with Millie Jasper of the Holocaust Center trying to encourage others to also show the film. . White Plains and North Salem are showing interviews on their public access TV stations.

  • Thursday, April 16, White Plains: This free, open-to-the-public Annual Countywide Commemoration at the Garden of Remembrance is sponsored by Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center and Westchester Jewish Council and will feature a procession of lost scrolls.  The event is at noon. Information: (914)- 696-0738, www.hhrecny.org/    PAUL FEINER
