Meters at parking garage suspended...blood drive at town hall postponed

The Hartsdale Parking Authority has suspended meters at the parking garage today. The blood drive at Town Hall has been suspended. I receive information  from the county office of emergency management: services with updates --thought readers would be interested in the following...

AS OF 0500 HOURS, THE FOLLOWING WIND SPEEDS AND WIND CHILLS HAVE BEEN RECORDED:
 
CENTRAL PARK:
DIRECTION = NORTH
SUSTAINED SPEED = 15 MPH
GUSTS SPEED = 29 MPH
WIND CHILL  = -5 DEGREES
 
 
 
Transportation:
 
·         Bee-Line buses and Par-transit vehicles will start service when weather conditions permit safe operations
 
·         Haverstraw/ Ossining Ferry will not operate today
 
·         Westchester County Airport is open.  Due to inclement weather, passengers are urged to contact their airline before coming to the airport in case of potential delays or cancellations
 
·         Numerous cancellations on both Arrivals and Departures to/from HPN.  ALL MORNING FLIGHTS ARE CANCELLED AS PER HPN OPERATIONS.
 
·         Amtrak Acela Express and Northeast Regional service will operate with reduced frequency.  Amtrak Empire Service is expected to operate a normal schedule
 
·         Today, all MNRR lines (Hudson, Harlem, New Haven) will operate on a Saturday schedule and about 60% of normal service (depending on time of day)
 
·         No major road closures have been reported in Westchester County.  There is a Speed Restriction on the Tappan Zee Bridge. 
 
·         As per WCPD:                    Snow accumulations are resulting in hazardous driving conditions on the following County roadways, however the roads remain open

Saw Mill River Parkway
 
Hutchinson River Parkway
 
Cross County Parkway
 
Playland Parkway
 
·         As per Transcom:             I-84 Open in both directions to all traffic
 
                                                                I-87/NYS Thruway opened in both directions to all traffic 
 
                                                                I-495/LIE open to all traffic
 
                                                               
 
Utilities:
 
·         Electric Outages; NYSEG:  0
 
·         Electric Outages; ConEd:  9 customers.  All are in the City of Yonkers.  ETE is 0700 today  (update: I just reported a Con Ed transformer outage to Con Ed)
 
 
 
Local Impacts:
 
·         New York State has declared a State Disaster Emergency
 
·         ·         Putnam-Northern Westchester BOCES, Southern Westchester BOCES and the Westchester Community College are closed today
