Volunteers needed for friends of library... weather alert advisory-call me if there are problems
Release Date: July 26, 2012

The Friends of the Greenburgh Library organization is looking for volunteers who know and love books and can start volunteering immediately to prepare for our annual Book Sale, October 12-15. We need people to sort and pack books. No heavy lifting, but you must be able to sort, shelve or pack boxes. We really welcome people who are expert in non-fiction: history, health and wellness, psychology, cooking and crafts, sports, and/or the fine arts, etc. Must be able to donate at least four hours a month, and attend an orientation. Volunteers should love books, and our wonderful Greenburgh Public Library. Please contact Lita Orlay, book sale manager, at litaorlay@hotmail.com

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for our area. Be careful! In the event of power outages, street closings, falling trees please feel free to call me on my cell: 914-438-1343. My home number is 478-1219.
In the past, I have provided residents with frequent updates. And, I am more than happy to reach out to Con Ed officials, the police and public works department - in the event you are experiencing any problems.
