job networking meeting on September 15th at the library 10:30 AM
Release Date: August 31, 2010

A few people contact me almost every day advising me that they are out of work. Almost two years ago I set up an informal job networking program --sharing job opportunities with residents who are looking for jobs. I post job openings on www.linkedin.com (greenburgh jobs group)...send info on job possibilities via e mail and meet with neighbors who are out of work, giving them pointers.
The goal: to make a very stressful experience a little less stressful--and to help people find a great job.
On Wednesday, September 15th we will be hosting a job networking meeting at the Greenburgh library at 10:30 AM. if you are out of work - please take the time to join us at the meeting. If you are an employer and want to talk to the attendees about job openings, please join us. If you would like to share your experiences with others - your participation would be appreciated. Questions or thoughts as to how we could make the meeting a meaningful experience for those out of work: e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com
Just received the following nice note from someone who just found work!
Paul Feiner
PS: If you know of someone who is out of work and if they want to be added to my jobs e list - please send me their e mail. I will send them job openings as i learn of them.

Subject: Back in business!
Dear Paul.
After a long period of P/T jobs, one of which you were instrumental in my getting, I have gotten a contract in my chosen career and will be reducing the p/t commitments.
Your help came at a time when things did not look good and was deeply appreciated.
I have asked___, the firm that has me teaching ESL in Weschester, to reach out to you to find someone to pick up most of my hours and recommended that the law firm (___) you set me up with, get back to you as well.
