GREENBURGH TOWN HALL AUDITORIUM
 
COMMEMORATING THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LAST PASSENGER TRAIN RUN ON THE NEW YORK CENTRAL PUTNAM DIVISION RAILROAD THAT PASSED THROUGH ARDSLEY, ELMSFORD AND GREENBURGH ON MAY 29, 1958
 
“THE OLD PUT GUY” JOE SCHIAVONE, WILL PRESENT A PROGRAM FOR YOUNG AND OLD, TELLING THE COLORFUL HISTORY OF THE RAILROAD THAT AFFECTIONATELY BECAME KNOWN AS “THE OLD PUT” AND OPERATED AS A PASSENGER LINE FROM 1881 TO 1958
 
MR. SCHIAVONE WILL SHOW A VINTAGE 16MM FILM OF THE OLD RAILROAD STATIONS AND THE STEAM LOCOMOTIVES CHUGGING UP AND DOWN THE VALLEYS OF WESTCHESTER AND PUTNAM. A SPECIAL “OLD PUT” REMEMBERANCE WILL BE GIVEN TO EVERYONE WHO ATTENDS.
