Eastviewis proposing rezoning a 100.17 acre site to permit the construction of a 446 age restricted residential units (270 flats, 130 town houses and 46 single family attached homes) in a PUD. The development, if approved, would be restricted to households over the age of 55. The development, as proposed would be designed as a senior lifestyle community with walking trails and a clubhouse.
The property is located between the Saw Mill River Parkwayto the west, Saw Mill River Road(Route 9a) to the East, Old Saw Mill River Roadand the MadisonSquareGardentraining facility/laboratory properties to the north and various distribution facilities to the south. The site is currently undeveloped and it is zoned as office business, multifamily and multifamily residence districts.
