ELECTION RESULTS IN HARTSDALE AND GREENVILLE...INCUMBENTS WIN

Every vote counts!  Results from 2 contested fire elections.  3 Fire Commissioner elections were held yesterday afternoon and evening in Hartsdale, Fairview & Greenville.  

 

Hartsdale---Frances Stanley  474 votes    Mona Fraitag  457 votes

 

GREENVILLE  HELENE ORCE  116 VOTES    WARREN HERSKOWITZ  103 VOTES (WRITE IN)

  CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS. And thank you to the unsuccessful contenders for participating in the election process/

John Malone was elected Commissioner in Fairview (unopposed)

 

FREE COMPUTER SKILLS TRAINING. Specially funded program in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; also QuickBooks, Resume Writing,

Job Search Strategies and Interviewing Techniques.

Eligibility requirements: Must be a displaced homemaker:

recently divorced, widowed, separated, or have a spouse who is disabled/unemployed.  Or can be a single parent on certain types of government assistance.

Must type 25 wpm.  Must have at least a HS diploma, or GED or TASC.

8-week daytime program begins January, April, & June.  Held at WCC/Valhalla.
