The effort to get elevators installed at the Hartsdale train station for the disabled and elderly continues...Received a letter from Joseph Giulietti, President of Metro North last week (see attachment) advising that Metro North would be willing to assist in the pursuit of funding sources. They currently don't have the funds but will help us look. I responded by asking Metro North to have their engineers conduct a study and analysis of the work that would be involved and to estimate the costs of constructing an elevator. Once that happens we could lobby state and federal officials to help make the train station more accessible.
