(RKesten), we are also inviting individuals, who will have the authority to implement these concepts within your schools and organizations to help deepen and broaden an understanding of human rights as well as implement strategies designed to impact attitudes and behaviors by encouraging respect for and practice of human rights principles.

In January of 2015, the Town of Greenburgh launched an initiative, spearheaded by Town Supervisor, Paul Feiner, to create a Human rights Advisory Committee to provide a conduit through which human rights issues and concerns, raised by residents, may be reviewed and, potentially, referred to the Westchester County Human Rights Commission for further consideration.  A major and important function of the committee is to provide informational and educational forums for the public designed to support residents in expanding their knowledge base on human rights as well as options to consider should they feel that their human rights have been violated.

This event, co-sponsored by the Town of Greenburgh Human Rights Advisory Committee, United Nations Association - Westchester Chapter, and the Westchester County Human Rights Commission, is free and open to the public.
