GreenburghTown Supervisor Paul Feiner has been named the 2004 Public Official Partnership Award recipient from Westchester ARC. The award, which will presented to Feiner on June 1st, is “granted each year to a public official who has demonstrated exceptional support for people with developmental disabilities who live in our community.”
Feiner is being recognized because the “town of Greenburgh has openly accepted residential opportunities, provided jobs and more recently provide a place to exhibit the artistic talents of people with developmental disabilities. This support of people with developmental disabilities has created opportunities for our local citizens to understand and appreciate how people with disabilities are an important part of the fabric of any community.”
Feiner will be cycling, for the 13th year, to Vermontduring the weekend of June 11th to raise funds for the Westchester Putnam Special Olympics and Westchester Association for Retarded Citizens. This is a 200 mile bike ride that raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for both charities.
