BOARD TO HIRE FIRM TO HELP OBTAIN GRANTS TO ADDRESS FLOODING
At Wednesday evening's Town Board meeting the Town Board will approve a resolution retaining the services of Tetra Tech to maximize grant funding applications for the hazard mitigation projects in Greenburgh (including the villages).
The firm will help property owners and the town obtain grants to address flooding problems.
This firm has a track record in obtaining over 9 million dollarsin grant funding under the competitive Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant Program and the Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant Program. The initial cost to the town: about $17,000.
Among grants we may seek: elevating homes...buyouts, drainage improvements.
