I’m at the Greenburgh Town Hall (177 Hillside Ave). We’re holding our first ever garage sale. The event is fantastic—hundreds of people have already stopped by. We have 50 vendors. Some young people from the Theodore Young Community Center are showing off their skating abilities. This is what community is all about. We’re going to honor members of the Boards/Commissions shortly---citizen volunteers who contribute to a better Greenburgh.
Thank you to Judith Beville and Winsome Gordon, organizers of the event for your hard work. Alan Hochberg is volunteering his time directing traffic. I’m sure that the garage sale will now become an annual tradition!
If you have the time – please stop by and visit us at the garage sale. The event ends at 5 PM today.
PS: Our next new initiative: a holiday event at E Hartsdale Ave shortly after Thanksgiving. A musical featuring choirs from churches/synagogues. Judith Beville has agreed to chair this event.
