I attended the Books & Cooks "A Literary Feast" at the Greenburgh Library this evening. This was the first fundraising event sponsored by the Greenburgh Public Library Foundation. The event was, without question, the best fundraising event I have ever attended to support a town program. Local talented authors shared their literary works with attendees. Restaurants donated fantastic culinary offerings. Hundreds attended the feast. It's my hope that the Foundation will build on the success and will continue to work hard to provide the library with financial help so the library can grow and be even more dynamic.
A special thank you to the members of the Library Foundation for their hard work: Judy Chriss, President, Richard Barber, Vice President, Sheila barnett, Treasurer, Secretary Cory Deitchman. Board members: William Gerstner, Sean Hanagan, Daniel Klein, Stephen Landau, James Lasser, Gary Mastrangelo, Barbara Monohan, Regina Morgan-rodriguez, Marjorie Phillips, richard Rakow and Stephen Reitano. Frank Musantry, chair of the Library Board, GPL Board of Trustees Liaison David Griff and Friends of the Greenburgh Library Mel Lipetz also deserve our thanks.
